Friday Wrap-Up, Bullying Contest Results

  • I'm happy with how this week has gone, despite all of the tragedies that have occurred closer to where I live in the world. It's been days of needless death, destruction and I'm sad for humanity. I will not let what is happening to get me down or distract me from the work that I need to do. The best that anyone can do is keep positive and move forward. Evil wants us to stop and give up. Stay frozen in fear. Let's not let those who want to bring humanity down win.

  • Results of "Speak Up, Speak Out" writing contest, on bullying. I didn't place in the contest but I'm truly happy for the winners. 1st place in the short story category, Steven Collins. 1st place in the Poetry category, Christine Costain. The poems and short stories were more than deserving. Although I do think most of the entries, winning or not, will make it into the Chapbook. I believe it will be published by the end of the year! More on that, well, when I know more. Congratulations, everyone!

  • Yesterday was a taste of the hot weather to come, which I am not happy with. Thank goodness the weather has cooled off and it's back to "normal" temperatures. I'm not looking forward to the hot, swampy, Southwestern, Ontario summer that is on the way. The rest of today will be working on submissions and "Cat Tales", along with getting in some reading for pleasure. I hope, although it probably won't be until the evening.

Are you anxious for the hot weather or are you hoping that it holds off for a while longer?
