I took a week off, because it was Christmas last week and quite frankly I didn't have anything to blog about. Just resting and catching up with life. I'll do my best to get back to blogging twice a week. Hopefully on Tuesdays and Fridays. Or if something great happens on another day, I'll blog then. I also want to start to vlog a little more. Not about me, because I'm not a fan of me in pictures/video. But again I'll see with time and if I can figure out the video editing, with minimal frustration. I'll see how things are with school, the days may change.
I will be staying home tonight, because New Year's Eve is one of the days that I have no desire to be on the streets with the many unfortunate drunk drivers. Have a safe and happy New Year. Please don't forget to arrange a bed, hotel, bus, taxi or designated driver, if you're drinking.
Till next time,
I actually found out about C&K Custom Cakes through my local Humane Society. They were having an online auction and C&K Custom Cakes donated some items, including a few gift certificates. I won a gift certificate from the auction and the rest is history. A great deal on a cake & supporting the Humane Society. Why not?
We communicated through FB. She had a list of questions, which I answered. We set a time for delivery. Pretty simple. Cake was delivered on time and it looked great.
Super moist, not overly sweet. Made with butter cream, by request. The layers were lovely. Half vanilla, half spice cake. They can do any flavour that you want. Very flavourful. More then enough for 6 people. It could easily have fed 20. This is not a light, feel-like-your-eating-air-cake. Not as heavy as a pound cake, but when you're finished you will be very satisfied. I will definitely be going back to C&K Customs Cakes in the future.
C&K Custom Cakes make a variety of baked goods. Find out more by contacting C&K Custom Cakes on their Facebook page or at 519-381-2922.
This is not a sponsored post. I did it because the cake was delicious and I like supporting local businesses, especially entrepreneurs.
