Book of the Month

My book choice, which may be new or a re-read.

I'm in the last 4 weeks of semester 2, and it's crazy busy, as expected. I can not wait for my break, I need the brain rest. This weekend, including today, will mostly be spent at the college. I'm not a fan of working in that cold-ass lab, but it's somewhat less distracting then working at home. The fact that I want to get out of there, makes me work much more quickly and efficiently.

Hopefully I'll be able to finish Persecuted: I Will Not Be Silent by Robin Parrish in the next day or 2. Thank goodness for book renewals. The morning bus reads have not been happening because I AM TIRED. It's been more of the morning bus naps. This 4-4:30 a.m. wake up time is bull. But I work best in the morning versus the night. Does anyone else, look at the clock and want to go to bed by 7 p.m? Is that old? Oh well, that's me, and I accept it.

My birthday is coming up in a few days and I all ask for is a good meal, great wine, and to be able to relax for part of the day. Do you expect big things for your birthday or do you keep it simple or not acknowledged it at all? I am usually in the not acknowledge it all camp, except this year.

I'm still enjoying copious amounts of cherries, without shame because the season is so short and I will not be able to have them again until next year. Is 3-4 lbs a week excessive?

Till next time,

I harvested the largest crop of basil, so far, earlier this week. So of course I had to make pesto. It was delicious!

Geese update: Goslings, just relaxing with the parents. They didn't run this week, which was nice.

I'm currently reading Persecuted: I Will Not Be Silent by Robin Parrish.  It is based on a Daniel Lusko film. "An evangelist finds himself framed for murder and on the run after he refuses to back a senator's proposition calling for sweeping religious reform." ( 2014, IMDb,)  I'll let you know my thoughts, when I'm finished reading it. I picked it up by accident thinking that it was a book on vampires but I'm reading it anyway. So far, so good.

Caught a beautiful sunrise this week. Better looking in person , of course. Have a great weekend!
