Career

It's been a decent week. Nothing too dramatic. I did get to see someone at the Hospice where mom died and I'll definitely be utilizing their services. Group work after I get back from BC, and wellness therapies as soon as possible. Those include complementary massage therapy, Reiki, and reflexology, etc, for up to two years. The insomnia is back in full force and I need the help in getting my body back in balance.

School is bumping along. The business planning is bumping along, although slowly. It's a lot on my plate and I'm still trying to figure out the schedule, without becoming overwhelmed. Any suggestions are more than welcome!

I've also decided to go ahead and get my drivers license now, instead of waiting until I move. (I've had my beginners multiple times, but let it lapse. I guess I wasn't ready.) At least it will be in process, plus BC credits the time put in, from another province. Not that I'll get a car right away, but it will give me options for short getaways and such.

Still figuring out how the podcasting thing is going to happen. Just audio or audio/video. Topics will be varied like my blog. I know I just have to do it and work out the kinks along the way. Too many years have passed since my first vision of it, so it's time to move ahead. The editing or recording of it, is what I'm still trying to figure out.

Getting to know my new camera. I'll take constructive criticism, because I'm always willing to learn, as long as I'm alive and able. One of my muses, is not so amused, but that's life sometimes. Although I do thank her at the end of a photo session, for allowing me to annoy/blind her with flashes.

Have a great weekend!

It's been an interesting and fast week for me. I'm so glad that it's Friday, although I still have a lot to do. I'm still working on not doing work/school of any kind, one day a week. It's hard, but necessary. Do any of you find not working on something & taking a break, hard as well?

I finished my small business workshop and it was good. There was a lot of information to take in and much more to learn. I know I'll be back for assistance as I move along in the process, but the general knowledge intake is over with. I know that there is a lot to do as a sole proprietor, but seeing the actual the check list, is more than a little daunting. Doable but daunting. The business side is intimidating as well, but learning it, is a necessary evil. The Excel spread sheets are not my favourite but I see the use, since they do the calculations for me. Math has never been my strong point. This (being my own boss) is what I've wanted for years, so I have to pull up my sleeves and dive right in.

Off to a meeting and more JAVA. Have a great weekend!
