This weekend was busy but not to exciting. I was on the hunt for fresh local apples. The ones in the supermarkets are not great at all. I think I was at 3 different farms before I found any at all. There are properties around where I live, that just leave boxes of apples at the end of their driveway for people to take. Which is pretty neat. If you can't sell them, why let them rot on the ground. Places that do sell apples were almost sold out for the season. But I did manage to find some decent apples and winter squash. Still on the bread making kick. This time it was with sweet potatoes. I just love the smell of freshly baked bread, even though I'm not really a huge bread person. If I'm craving bread, I love a slice. Otherwise I could go a week or more without it and be just fine. Check out my previous bread recipe. I may have to let go of the little bread that I eat (and cereal) though. If you've read my previous blog post I said I was going to do my version of the elimination diet, again. First try was dairy. So far, my skin is not getting any better or worse. I said I would give it a month but I know by now, dairy is not the issue. So my next elimination is going to be wheat, at the end of a month. I don't eat much wheat but I guess it doesn't take much if your body doesn't tolerate it. It may be the time to try gluten free bread recipes. The Christmas tree, in the box still, is out of the basement. It won't get decorated for a while so Kai the cat can get used to it and not go crazy trying to make it her new perch.
Have you started putting up your Christmas decorations yet? Have a great Monday & week!
Till next time,
