Tag Archives: Friday Catch-Up

Classes start next week for me and I'm kind of hustling to get what I couldn't get done during the last 2 semesters, done during these 3 weeks. Have I been successful? Somewhat.

Not getting up at 4:30 a.m. Check

Reading for leisure. Check

Changing my volunteer hours. Check

Getting out of town for a few days, at least. Fail

Freezer stock up. Check

Taking Pictures. Check

Putting together recipes for this blog. Sort of, the pictures have been taken, but that's it.

Editing video. Fail, but mainly because I'm still trying to figure out the program. Premiere Pro CC is what I use. I've heard that Final Cut is easier, but Premiere has more customizable features.

Working on a business plan. A work in progress.

My puzzle. Fail, but I'm looking for a roll up mat, because I have no intention of finishing it in one session.

Writing. Added to one of my short stories. My book, not so much.

Anyone else back to school or at a new job? How are things going with you?

This break has been nice and even more so since just found out my classes don't start until September 9th. The 4:30 a.m. rises are over, at least by the alarm clock.

I'm hoping that I'll be able to fit in a little more photography, writing, and blogging, now that I don't have to commute to the college everyday. It's not a lot of spare time, just enough. I'll do my best.

I do plan on getting back to product reviews, why not? If I like a product why not share it? I also plan on doing some more recipes for animals and humans. I'd also like to throw some short videos on here to practice my editing skills. I didn't take the class to lose the skills, so again, why not? I also plan to change over my website, or rather build it from scratch instead of using this template. That might be while because it needs to be perfect and I do have a full course load. After all, I am showcasing the skills that I have learned for employment.

Books on the reading list for the remainder of my break.

Be Careful What You Pray For: A Novel by Kimberla Lawson Roby The Prodigal Son by Kimberla Lawson Roby Eyes to See: A Jeremiah Hunt Supernatual Thriller (The Jeremiah Hunt Chronicle) by Joseph Nassise King of the Dead: A Jeremiah Hunt Supernatual Thriller by Joseph Nassise

I just wanted to share  some pictures of a black bee (I'm a bee lover), a female valley carpenter bee, according to google. (I have no idea.) From the start of her feed, to the end. The males are golden I colour, but I haven't seen them yet. I wasn't trying to get a series of shots, that's why the entire flower is not in frame but I liked what occurred. In future I will try for a series, to get everything in frame.
